This map shows emergency calls attended by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, drawn from the incident feed WFPS has published from its computer-aided dispatch system since August 2023. It reads the same data the City publishes and refreshes every five minutes. It is an independent project, not affiliated with WFPS or the City of Winnipeg.
The published data locates a call to a neighbourhood, never an address.
Each marker sits at an offset from its neighbourhood’s centre so that several calls in
one area stay legible, constrained to remain inside that neighbourhood’s boundary.
Read a marker as somewhere in this neighbourhood and nothing finer. Calls the feed
reports as Outside Winnipeg or Unverified have no usable location
and are never plotted.
A call is active while units remain assigned to it. Once it closes, this map keeps it visible for a short window — marked Closed, with the time units spent on scene — before it drops off. The City’s own page shows active calls only.
WFPS publishes a free-text incident type. The three colours here — Fire Rescue, Medical Response and Other — are this site’s own grouping for readability, not an official classification. The exact published type always appears in the table.
